Oggi l’Udinese, dalle pagine del proprio sito ufficiale, ricorda la vittoria contro la Juventus del 1961. Di seguito il testo:

“Il 10 dicembre 1961, sedicesima giornata del massimo campionato, l’Udinese affronta al “Moretti” la Juventus davanti a 20 mila persone. Il pronostico è tutto per la squadra torinese, campione d’Italia in carica anche perché i friulani che hanno cambiato la conduzione tecnica, con Alfredo Foni chiamato dal presidente Dino Bruseschi a sostituire Luigi Bonizzoni, sono in piena crisi, sono ultimi con appena 4 punti, il frutto di una vittoria e due pareggi, mentre le sconfitte sono già salite a undici. Quella domenica però l’Udinese, che giuoca in maglia rossa, cambia volto, si dimostra squadra organizzata, di valore e sconfigge la Juventus per 2-1. I campioni d’Italia si portano in vantaggio dopo appena 5′ con Nicolè (recentemente scomparso); poi va a bersaglio al 42′ Canella e il tempo si chiude sull’1-1. Nella ripresa è ancora Canella che anticipa Castano su cross radente da destra di Pentrelli dopo un’azione corale tutta di prima per segnare la rete della vittoria delle zebrette. E’ un successo illusorio, l’Udinese, pur rinforzata da elementi come Selmosson, Rozzoni, Moro, dal turno successivo perde altre sette gare di seguito. Alla fine concluderà con 17 punti il frutto di 6 successi e 5 pareggi, mentre le sconfitte sono ben 23.
