IOGIOCOPULITO.IT (Ettore Zanca) – Trentadue anni fa, ci fu una squadra che pur essendo in serie B, arrivò in semifinale di una prestigiosa coppa internazionale. Era l’Atalanta, che siccome era andata in finale di coppa Italia col Napoli destinato alla Coppa dei Campioni, pur perdendo aveva preso il posto in quella che si chiamava Coppa delle Coppe. Era l’Atalanta di Mondonico, detto il Mondo. Un uomo di calcio bravo, competente e buono. Un cuore come pochi nella vita col pallone tra i piedi. I due attaccanti erano due onesti pedatori, Cantarutti e Garlini, ma si ritagliarono un sogno. Eliminarono lo Sporting Lisbona che non era proprio Il Carrapipi a quei tempi e uscirono solo perché sconfitti in semifinale dai futuri vincitori.
