Gli stadi che hanno fatto la storia della Lazio raccontati da Roma H 24. Ecco un estratto.

[…] Nei primi anni il calcio girovagò per la Capitale. E tra i primi campi utilizzati dalla Lazio, oltre a qualche fugace apparizione a Piazza di Siena, ci fu quello del Parco dei Daini, all’interno di Villa Borghese.

[…] A portare la Lazio a giocare qui alcune sue partite fu il presidente Fortunato Ballerini, che riuscì a farsi assegnare dal comune la concessione di creare il campo di gioco. Dal 1906 al 1913 fu il campo delle partite di calcio dei biancocelesti.

[…] Nel 1914 però la Lazio arrivò sulle colline dei Parioli. Qui infatti nacque lo Stadio della Rondinella, che sorse praticamente nell’area alberata compresa tra l’attuale curva nord dello Stadio Flaminio e la calotta del Palazzetto dello Sport. […] Il primo incontro fu disputato 1° novembre 1914, quando la Lazio battè per 3-2 l’Audace. Dopo la prima guerra mondiale, quando la società concesse il suo campo, che fu trasformato in orto di guerra, lo stadio risorse più funzionale.

[…] La Lazio si allenò alla Rondinella fino al 1958. La notte del 14 settembre 1957 però un vasto incendio distrusse le tribune.
