Gigi Riva e la sua grande umanità. Colpirono molto le sue parole durante i giorni dell’operazione nel 1970, riproposte nel volume ‘Il mondo di Piero’ (curato da Fabio Monti e Roberto Beccantini) dedicato a Dardanello. ‘Rombo di tuono’ affermo: “Un calcio, d’accordo, ma non premeditato. Un calcio come se ne prendono tanti. Se Hof giocherà nell’ Austria quando ci sarà la partita di ritorno, gli stringerò la mano per primo”. Quel Norbert era suo coetaneo e oggi avrebbe compiuto ottant’anni. Il 2 febbraio 1934 era nato Guerrino Rossi, 23 presenze in Serie A: una con la Juventus, le altre con la Spal. E proprio di fronte agli estensi debuttò nel massimo campionato, con la casacca bianconera. Sarebbero stati settantacinque per Mario Agretti, 24 gare in A con la Ternana e 203 nel torneo cadetto tra rovverdi, Perugia, Sambenedettese e Parma.

“Quando corre sull’erba saltando sempre il difensore aversario, sembra proprio un uccellino che vola”, scrisse Beppe Pegolotti sula Nazione il 3 febbraio 1964 (parole riportate nel libro ‘La bibbia della fede viola’ di Stefano Cecchi). Il giornalista fiorentino si riferiva a Kurt Hamrin, il quale esattamente sessant’anni fa a Bergamo mise a segnò cinque reti con la maglia gigliata: un record nella storia della Serie A per un calciatore impegnato in trasferta.

P.S. Oggi festeggia mezzo secolo Sergio Volpi, 302 presenze nel massimo campionato. Per quelli della mia generazione, il nostro ‘Pizzaballa’, assieme a Paolo Poggi, perché in un apposita collezione di figurine i due erano introvabili….
