12 novembre 1934: la nascita di Vavá

Il 12 novembre del 1934 nasce Vavá. Il giocatore brasiliano è stato protagonista di una delle nazionali verdeoro più forti di sempre. Insieme a lui erano presenti talenti come Didi, Garrincha, Pelé e Zagallo. La Seleçao vince due Mondiali nel 1958 e nel 1962 e lui segna in entrambi. Un record che appartiene a pochi.

Oltre a lui, Zidane, Mbappé e Breitner. Con la nazionale Carioca gioca dal 1955 al 1964 e diventa anche CT dell’Under 20 per un anno. Con le sue reti ha deliziato il pubblico di tanti club brasiliani ma ha militato anche in Europa, precisamente nell’Atletico Madrid. Un eroe di un calcio che non ci sarà più.
