“L’inferno arrivò dopo un fallo”. Visentin, ex Salernitana ricorda la tragedia di Plaitano

Il calcio incontra la morte. E’ il 28 aprile del 1963, una data nefasta, come ce ne sono tante nel calcio, purtroppo. Il 48enne Giuseppe Plaitano, un uomo, un marito, un padre con nel cuore i colori della Salernitana, perde la vita. E’ domenica pomeriggio e al vecchio Vestuti va in scena Salernitana – Potenza.

Dopo cinquantasei anni quasi, da quel triste giorno, ha riparlato,  Oliviero Visentin, un involontario “protagonista” dell’episodio da cui poi nasce la tragedia. Dalla sede del Club Mai Sola di Antonio Carmando,  insieme a altri due ex granata, Antonio Capone e Raffaele Novelli, è stato ospite del primo appuntamento di un ciclo dal titolo “Verso il Centenario”. Durante il dibattito l’ex calciatore della Salernitana è tornato a quel pomeriggio ”Non dimenticherò mai quei momenti. Perdevamo 1-0, sul finire della partita venni atterrato in area di rigore. L’arbitro, però, lasciò giocare. Quel fallo non fischiato scatenò l’inferno”. Poi la cronaca sportiva dell’epoca lascia il posto alla cronaca nera: un proiettile vagante, esploso dalle forze dell’ordine, colpì e uccise Giuseppe Plaitano che si trovava in tribuna. Così, il 28 aprile del 1963 passa alla storia… una tragica storia.
