Il 14 maggio del 2000 la Lazio si laureò, per la seconda volta nella sua storia, Campione d’Italia. Uno Scudetto memorabile arrivato soprattutto grazie alla sconfitta della Juventus sul campo del Perugia. Una partita che è conosciuta soprattutto per l’acquazzone che colpì il capoluogo umbro.La pioggia incessante non fece riprendere il match. L’arbitro, poi, decise di fare giocare il secondo tempo più di un’ora dopo.

Nei minuti iniziali Calori segnò la rete che fece vincere i biancorossi. Al 90′, dopo il triplice fischio, iniziò la festa biancoceleste all’Olimpico di Roma. Per i bianconeri, invece, fu un pomeriggio da dimenticare.
