Goal.com racconta il rapporto, non proprio idilliaco, tra Batistuta e Cassano durante il periodo romano. Ecco un estratto.

[…] Gabriel Batistuta, a Roma, è ricordato ancora come una sorta di Re Mida. Approdato alla corte di Fabio Capello nell’estate del 2000, proprio mentre nella Capitale la Lazio festeggiava lo Scudetto, l’attaccante argentino è stato uno dei principali artefici del trionfo giallorosso dell’anno successivo.

[…] Non tutti a Roma, però, hanno amato Batistuta. Uno di questi è Antonio Cassano. […] Lo stesso Cassano lo racconta nella biografia “Dico tutto”, scritta insieme a Pierluigi Pardo. “In quella squadra c’erano un paio di giocatori che detestavo. Uno è alto, piuttosto bello, attaccante, argentino, con i capelli lunghi. Vabbè, avete capito che Batistuta proprio non mi piaceva perché aveva la puzza sotto il naso. Era argentino sì, ma dei Parioli”.
