Lecco Channel News festeggia gli ottanta anni di Sergio Clerici, quarto marcatore di sempre della squadra Lombarda. Ecco un estratto.

[…] Sergio Clerici compie ottant’anni: oltre duecento presenze e sessanta gol gli valgono il quarto posto nella classifica dei marcatori all-time. […] Ma a Lecco Sergio Clerici ha lasciato un pezzo di cuore. Del resto […] arrivò in Lombardia nel gennaio del 1961, ingaggiato dal Portuguesa di San Paolo, vestito in modo estivo e il Presidentissimo Mario Ceppi gli donò immediatamente dei vestiti per reggere al rigido freddo invernale. Un gesto da signore che, dopo le prime 10 presenze e 2 gol che ebbero la funzione di apprendistato, venne ripagato da 191 gare e 58 reti, che fanno di lui il quarto miglior marcatore della storia bluceleste. Il filo professionale si ruppe nel corso dell’estate 1967, quando passò al forte Bologna dopo la retrocessione in Serie B, ma ancora oggi è considerato una delle leggende della storia del calcio lecchese.
