GLIEROIDELCALCIO.COM (Federico Baranello) – Per la rubrica “Calcio, Arte & Società” abbiamo raggiunto e intervistato Giovanni Di Salvo, scrittore e autore del libro “Le Pioniere del Calcio”. La storia di un gruppo di donne che sfidò il regime fascista”, uscito per la collana UNASCI della Bradipolibri. Un doppio appuntamento con l’autore, oggi l’intervista e nei prossimi giorni un estratto in esclusiva per i lettori de Gli Eroi del Calcio.

Nel 1933 accadde un avvenimento probabilmente poco noto ma molto significativo per l’emancipazione femminile. Infatti un gruppo di ragazze decise di giocare a calcio in un contesto storico fortemente maschilista: il loro sogno fu infranto dal Regime fascista che, per mezzo del CONI, di fatto gli negò la libertà di poter esprimere questa loro passione. Il gioco del calcio, in questo contesto, fece solamente da sfondo alle vicende che vertono sulla condizione femminile durante il periodo fascista e rappresenta un ulteriore esempio di come le donne non godessero degli stessi diritti riservati agli uomini.
L’ingegnere palermitano Giovanni Di Salvo, dopo approfondite ricerche condotte sui quotidiani dell’epoca, ha riportato alla luce e ha raccontato per la prima volta in maniera dettagliata questa storia.
