Il 16 giugno 1981 Johan Cruijff gioca il primo Mundialito per Club. A San Siro, il fuoriclasse olandese indossa la maglia del Milan. Un’apparizione che non avrà seguito.

TWNEWS.IT (Fabio Acri) – Scorrendo gli almanacchi della storia del Milan, si legge di una presenza – in gara non ufficiale – di Johan Cruijff. Un’apparizione fugace che non ebbe seguito ma che per i tifosi rossoneri fu una boccata d’ossigeno in un periodo assai travagliato.

Il Mundialito per Club

Nel 1981, l’imprenditore meneghino Silvio Berlusconi si affaccia al mondo del calcio organizzando il primo Mundialito per Club, evento trasmesso su Canale 5. Alla prima edizione del torneo partecipano squadre che hanno vinto la Coppa Intercontinentale: le due formazioni meneghine (Milan e Inter), Feyenoord, Santos e Penarol.

Cruijff rossonero

Il Milan, appena promosso in Serie A dopo la retrocessione per il Totonero, presenta tra le sue fila Johan Cruijff, fuoriclasse olandese degli Anni ’70. L’ex Ajax e Barcellona, dopo l’esperienza negli Stati Uniti, è in procinto di tornare a giocare nel calcio che conta, nonostante l’età non più verdissima (34 anni). San Siro, con il vice-presidente Rivera in testa, accoglie “il profeta del gol” come un idolo.

45 minuti e un assist

Cruijff, reduce da un’intervento chirurgico tre settimane prima, non è al meglio della condizione. E, infatti, l’olandese gioca sotto tono, regalando appena un guizzo (assist di tacco a Antonelli). Dopo l’intervallo, il campione di Amsterdam rimane negli spogliatoi, sostituito da Romano. A fine match, Cruijff dirà: “Ho avuto l’onore di vestire la maglia del Milan…“.
