Fc Crotone: Magna Grecia e squali

Il tripode delfico a ricordo del periodo della Magna Grecia, di cui la cittadina calabrese fu uno dei più floridi centri, nonché gli squali entrati nella simbologia dei rossoblù nella prima metà degli anni Novanta.

Questi due simboli esprimono, nell’attuale stemma che campeggia sui gagliardetti crotonesi, il vecchio e il nuovo ovvero il grande retaggio storico e l’attualità. Retaggio storico presente anche nel soprannome della squadra, i “pitagorici”, derivante dal notissimo filosofo greco Pitagora che fondò nella città una delle più importanti scuole di pensiero dell’umanità, la “Scuola pitagorica”.

Il gagliardetto presentato oggi è il primo che il Crotone ha utilizzato facendo apporre le indicazioni della partita insieme al proprio stemma e a quello della serie A. Tale gagliardetto è stato utilizzato per l’intera stagione 2020 – 2021 purtroppo terminata con la retrocessione in serie B della formazione calabrese.

Nel dettaglio l’incontro a cui si riferisce il gagliardetto, un esemplare consegnato ai componenti della quaterna arbitrale, venne disputato lo scorso 20 settembre e terminò con la vittoria del Genoa per 4 – 1.
