Il gagliardetto del Vasas

Il Vasas, fondato nel 1911 da operai metalmeccanici, è tra i più titolati club ungheresi. Oltre ai sei titoli nazionali è riuscito ad affermare il proprio calcio anche nell’Europa centrale con ben sei successi nella competizione regina ossia la Mitropa Cup.

PennantsMusem ricorda il sodalizio rossoblu con un gagliardetto risalente al 1949 di fattura davvero unica. E’ davvero molto raro, infatti, trovare gagliardetti con tessuto broccato. A livello mondiale questo accessorio, sinonimo di eleganza e raffinatezza utilizzato per abiti ed anche per arredamenti, venne impiegato esclusivamente per produrre esemplari di squadre ungheresi ed anche della squadra nazionale magiara.

Oltre alla vetustà dell’esemplare è quindi il tessuto ed il comunque pregevole ricamo dello stemma societario il valore aggiunto di questo gagliardetto. Un oggetto di scambio in occasione di un incontro amichevole o di una competizione europea. Per completezza di trattazione, i club ungheresi che utilizzarono gagliardetti in broccato furono Ujpest (coevo all’esemplare del Vasas e nell’identico stile), Tababanya, Ferencvaros. Infine anche la nazionale ungherese ma esclusivamente per un brevissimo periodo.
