[…] All’alba di quel favoloso decennio dei ’60 […] Benito e Giuseppe Panini trovarono un lotto di vecchie figurine invendute. […] Vi erano fotografati i calciatori delle squadre di Serie A. […] Pensarono che acquistarle fosse un affare.

[…] Così divisero e imbastirono il malloppo in bustine bianche con cornette rosse. […] Una bustina veniva 10 Lire. […] Il successo fu straordinario, i fratelli Panini vendettero 3 milioni di bustine. […] La collezione del campionato ’61/’62 vendette 15 milioni di bustine.

[…] Il fascino degli Album Panini è l’aura di eternità che li ammanta.

[…] Un altro unicum tra quelle fotografie spesso in bianco e nero e colorate a mano. Si attaccavano con la colla. La coccoina, una sorta di “madeleine”.

[…] La Serie B ebbe diritto di cittadinanza poco dopo, a partire dal Campionato 1963/64. I giocatori di Serie B andavano a coppie, a due a due, indissolubili, facili da ricordare come una filastrocca. Alla fine degli anni ’60 comparivano gli scudetti. Erano laminati in argento, autoadesivi. Possedere uno scudetto significava essere il padrone del mondo.
